Unfortunately, there was no Buddy Walk in 2020 and 2021, due to Covid-19. Nevertheless, as Buddy Walk is our major annual fundraiser, we still need to raise funds. So, this year we held a fun online event on 21 March 2021 (World Down Syndrome Day).
Buddy Walk® was developed by the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) in 1995. The idea was to bring people together to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month in October and to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome. However, the ADSA holds the Buddy Walk event in March, as the weather is generally better then, and we can link the event to World Down Syndrome Day. Read more about Buddy walk on the NDSS website»
