Information from overseas has been gathered and reviewed and a document written that reflects the special nature of bicultural New Zealand.
Collated by a group of educators from Special Schools in Auckland, this document has been developed in response to a need to have an appropriate curriculum for those students with complex and multiple interrelated learning needs working towards or within level one of the National English Curriculum. Literacy and Maori advisors from Team Solutions have been consulted. It is appropriate for students of all ages, having a range of special sensory and physical impairments and communication difficulties.
