This excellent resource was developed by Down Syndrome Victoria. It guides you through what to look for in choosing a school. It suggests questions to ask to ensure that the school you choose is the best possible fit for your child. This resource is not specific to Auckland but we highly recommend it and encourage parents who are about to start thinking about schools to read it.

Your Early Intervention team should help guide you through the transition process. They can also help you with early contact with the school.
